Covid-19 Messages

Update June 1, 2020.

As we have made our way through the last several weeks, we have seen incredible support from you, our partners, and our communities. Thank you with all our hearts. And thank you to our teams for their hard work, commitment and ongoing focus on observing the stringent cleanliness protocols we’ve put in place to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. These include:

  • Team Member Wellness – We have wellness checks in place before employees are allowed to enter the restaurant. We take every team member’s temperature every morning and throughout the day. Any team member who has a fever is required to return home. Team members are required to stay home if they feel unwell.
  • Contactless Service – Curbside pickup will remain open to serve customers for the foreseeable future to provide a safe method to order ahead and pick up your food in a contactless manner. Order curbside pickup by clicking the ORDER ONLINE button above.
  • Restaurant Cleaning Standards – We have always and will continue to maintain a clean environment and employ safe food handling practices. We have increased the frequency with which we sanitize surfaces using cleaning products approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) specifically for COVID-19.
  • Personal Protection – All team members and guests are required to wear face masks at all times unless they are eating. Stringent handwashing is required for team members as per local health code. We have hand sanitizer available for guests and employees.
  • Physical Distancing – We separate guests by 6 feet while on our restaurant patios.
  • Team Member Education – We continue to focus on training our teams so they are familiar and comfortable with the practices we have put in place.

As of June 1, you can expect:

  • Our Dinning Rooms are open with limited seating
  • Our Patio Spaces are open with limited seating
  • Like our employees, we require all patio guests to wear masks while not eating
  • We will have a limited number of tables to ensure 6 ft physical distancing between groups
  • One group per table is allowed
  • We will be using only one time use disposable wear
  • Each table will be cleaned by our team between groups
  • All orders will be served via contactless curbside or sidewalk pickup

Update April 29, 2020.

AN UPDATE ON REOPENING OUR RESTAURANT SPACES

As we have made our way through the last several weeks, we have seen incredible support from you, our partners, and our communities. Thank you with all our hearts. And thank you to our teams for their hard work, commitment and ongoing focus on observing the stringent cleanliness protocols we’ve put in place to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We appreciate each and every one of our guests, employees, and vendors, and are looking forward to what the next stage is of our ‘new normal.’ In light of the statewide relaxing of rules for Texas restaurants, we wanted to update you on our plans. Our number one priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our team members and our guests, as well as supporting local health officials. We have decided to reopen our restaurants in phases beginning by opening our patios with limited seating on May 8th. Our dining rooms are closed while we continue to evaluate appropriate measures that will ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests and employees. We will open our dining room spaces when we feel we can safely do so. We will continue to follow direction and advice from local government and health authorities to ensure our practices continue to, not only meet, but also exceed requirements. Online Order and Curbside pickup will remain open to serve customers for the foreseeable future to provide a safe method to order ahead and pick up your food without leaving your car.

Beginning Friday, May 8, you can expect:

  • Our patio spaces are open with limited seating
  • Like our employees, we require all patio guests to wear face coverings while not eating
  • We will have a limited number of tables to ensure 6 ft physical distancing between groups
  • One group per table is allowed
  • Each table will be cleaned by our team between groups
  • Orders may only be placed online or by calling in, i.e. no orders may be placed in person at any location
  • We will serve hot food only. We have temporary stop serving cold items or salads at this time.
  • All orders will be served via contactless curbside or sidewalk pickup

We will continue to review our practices frequently, and are ready to adjust our approach when it is responsible and safe to do. Thank you for our understanding. In addition, we have extended our delivery partnerships at all our locations, so that delivery is now available and convenient via Ubereats and DoorDash.

Hello out there, guests, employees, and local partners, We are updating this webpage frequently, so please check back often for changes or email us at info@firebowlcafe.com if you have questions. In light of the increase in COVID-19 cases in Texas, we are continuing to implement enhanced procedures to help protect our employees, our customers, and the communities that we operate in, including these new measures effective March 17:

  • We are offering TAKE-AWAY ONLY service at all Fire Bowl Cafe locations. For any of our locations, you can place an order online, walk in, grab your bag of food and go, minimizing your impact with others.
  • We are also offering DELIVERY service at all Fire Bowl Cafe locations with our 3rd party delivery partners.  Grubhub, Uber Eats, DoorDash, Favor, Postmates.
  • To make delivery simple, we will have link to each of our 3rd party delivery service for each location on the Order Online link on the firebowlcafe.com website.  You may click and be directed to the delivery service to place your orders.
  • Dine-in service is suspended at all Fire Bowl Cafe locations.
  • To make things as simple as possible, orders may be placed online at www.firebowlcafe.com or by calling in orders to your favorite Fire Bowl Cafe location.
  • Curbside pick-up is now available!

To our dear guests, employees, and local partners, we would like to take a moment during this time of uncertainty to address the current COVID-19 situation, and how Fire Bowl Cafe is responding. Our top focus through this period is to enhance our commitment to the health, well-being and safety of our employees, our customers, and our greater community. We are diligently working to act responsibly and quickly in our restaurants to ensure that our safety standards are elevated above and beyond our already-stringent sanitation standards to help mitigate the exposure to the virus. We are hopeful that by doing so we can set an example to our community and promote positive sanitation standards that will benefit us all. We also hope that after this situation improves, our guests and employees can look back and be proud of their individual commitment to this call-to-action that is required of us all. In light of the increase in COVID-19 cases in Texas, we have implemented enhanced procedures to help protect our employees, our customers, and the communities that we operate in, including:

  • We have increased the frequency with which we sanitize surfaces. We aim to sanitize surfaces throughout our restaurants every 15 minutes. Hand sanitizer is also available at each of our restaurants.
  • We are moving self-serve items to be kept behind our counter and these items will be provided to guests by our team members; items such as forks, spoons, soy sauce, Sriracha chili, and any condiments.
  • We are suspending use of reusable cups and will utilize single-use, disposable cups.
  • We are suspending our use of self-service sauce and condiment and will provide pre-package condiment as requested.
  • We are also asking our customers to not refill soda cups. If a refill is needed, our team members will provide a new, recyclable cup.
  • We are installing grab-and-go online order pick-up stations for orders placed through firebowlcafe.com. This means at any of our locations, you can place an order online, walk in, grab your bag of food and go, minimizing your impact with others.

Fire Bowl Cafe has been a proud Texas restaurant for over 30 years. Be assured we are doing everything we can to continue to create safe, healthy, and delicious experiences for our employees and our customers.
